Are you arrogant?
I’m self-confident. I think arrogance is based on chronic insecurity. This is a brutal business, you have to be confident. But I like playing up to a certain cocky persona.

Arrogance, conceit, hubris. Those of us who own it cherish the feel of those ego tingles. Sometimes, it's the little things... the millionaire in the mirror, the professor's autobiography on the coffee table, the gold CEO desk curio, a hundred and forty four messages on the machine. Sometimes, it's the macro-mania private jet commute; a suit and tie picture in the NYT. Sometimes, it's just a dream of it all.
And, then, there are the jealous detractors. They ruin the image. Talk about cruelty. I'll guarantee you this: a billion dollar Wall Street bonus wouldn't hurt.
